Collaborating Through E-Portfolios
The Update
It has been nearly two years since the start of this process and the beginning of my innovation plan. Many things have changed and I am sure more will as time goes on. If you’re interested in hearing more about what has happened so far and to see a little of where I am going, check out the 1st update below.
Times are changing and with those changes, education has stayed relatively the same, this can not continue. We need to make the change now as it has become clear that students are losing motivation and creativity; That spark for learning is diminishing and technology won’t fix it on its own. Technology can be a driving force behind change, but without the right implementation and the right tools, it will just but a band-aid over a much larger wound.
The following is my proposal to establish a collaborative effort with local high schools to incorporate ePortfolios that will began at the admissions level. Engaging learners through authentic learning experiences, giving them choice, ownership, and voice in their learning is the goal.
The Proposal
Don’t just take my word for it, there has been a multitude of research over the use of e-portfolios as tools in education.

Literature Review
By implementing ePortfolios, students will be empowered to become active participants in their own personalized education. Through use of reflection, technology, and collaborating, students and teachers will develop skills that will lead to achieve their lifelong goals.
We all know that change is not something that happens over night and this plan will be no different, to see a proposed outline for the implementation of my plan, click below:
