The power in the word “Yet” changes an entire thought. Its 3 simple letters but a world of possibilities. Over the years I’ve considered myself to be technologically challenged. Of course, that’s been one of the negative thoughts in my head, so taking in the advice I’ve given to so many was a stretch. Changing those negative thoughts into positive ones is key.
I spent the last 8 weeks researching and expanding in so many areas. One in which the growth mindset. In order to be a “Leader” within my organization, I realized that an expansion has to take place starting with me embracing a growth mindset. As far as from an academic aspect, there are different types of challenges I believe one is likely to encounter. It is critical to have a positive outlook, dedication, and motivation because it ensures academic success.
In having a fixed mindset, people tend to avoid challenges and may feel dumb with failure or setbacks. They may not even try to learn from mistakes causing them to be driven by negative perceptions.
A growth mindset is better than a fixed mindset because it encourages an individual to try out different approaches when he or she fail. This will increase the likelihood of them becoming successful. I feel that as educators, we need to find ways of improving the quality of the curriculum to ensure learners are given the education they need to achieve their purpose.
